The Sales Operations Program Manager role will provide critical operational support to Strategic Customers, Vicor’s Strategic Account Sales Team, and Sales Management.   This position is an important link between the Sales organization and other corporate functions (e.g. Technical Applications, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal and Product Management. This is a highly execution oriented role, working with internal and external teams on customer program deliverables from initial development to conclusion.  The position reports to the Director of Sales Operations, Strategic Accounts.


  • Serve as key customer contact within the account management team responsible for answering customer inquiries and resolving customer problems
  • Host regular customer conference calls with identified customer and Vicor teams, managing and publishing weekly action item status and shared file locations
  • Work with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Applications, Technical Marketing, Quality and Customer Service organizations to meet objectives for assigned accounts, in all phases of the customer programs (early engagement through production and end of life)
  • Update monthly Strategic Account forecasts into CRM tool and produce monthly forecast reports for identified accounts as needed
  • Maintain CRM funnel of projects and opportunities for identified Strategic Accounts
  • Manage Early Sales Involvement programs by establishing and maintaining project plans and schedules
  • Identify, resolve and escalate key risks and issues that impact customer commitments and deliverables
  • Prepare and present high level status at Executive Program Reviews with customers and internally
  • Work with internal Vicor teams to execute on quotations, proposals, questionnaires, contract pricing, quality issues, PCNs, audits and other requests from identified customer(s) and contract manufacturing locations
  • Drive execution of Strategic Account Plans working closely with the responsible Account Manager and Strategic Account Sales Team
  • Attend key customer meetings
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities and duties as may be assigned from time to time

Minimum Requirements

Requirements/Desired Skills:          

  • BS/MS in Business, Finance, or equivalent
  • 5+ year’s applicable work experience in a strategy related role, experience in Sales Operations and/or Project Management preferred
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail are critical to success in this role
  • Strong self-starter, high energy, results driven individual.   Great at adapting & responding to change
  • Ability to think at a high level, while simultaneously having the skill set to pinpoint, understand and execute on key details
  • Expert interpersonal skills including effective collaboration and ability to work as a team player across global and cross functional teams
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills required
  • Strong aptitude in MS Office is a must, ability to learn Vicor systems and some customer systems is required
