  • Supports Failure Analysis Engineers with mechanical deprocessing and cross-sectioning and basic electronics testing of Vicor products
  • Operate increasingly complex Failure Analysis equipment such as Optical microscopes, Electron microscopes, Scanning Acoustic Microscope, X-ray, and Laser
  • Act as the team admin to ensure proper data entry of new jobs and archiving old jobs
  • Collaborates with internal and external laboratories as needed
  • Meets failure analysis cycle-time requirements
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and dexterity to perform tedious and precise failure analysis polishing and cross sectioning tasks often in a fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinker interested in understanding what you are doing rather than simply performing a task
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. MS Word, data entry, file management)
  • Able to write concisely using good spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail. Must be able to manage multiple, concurrent assignments under tight deadlines
  • Able to follow instructions, maintain priorities, and make good decisions with minimal supervision
  • Basic electronics

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
