Optimize high-voltage-to-SELV performance while eliminating the 48V battery and supercaps

Who should watch?

Power engineers interested in the most efficient HV to SELV conversion, especially those looking for solutions for regenerative loads.

What's it about?

Effectively converting high-voltage battery power (800V or 400V) to SELV requires a power delivery network (PDN) that is compact, lightweight and has a reinforced isolation barrier. The PDN also needs fast bidirectional conversion to support new system requirements for regenerative loads. Traditional DC-DC converters are limited by switching frequency resulting in bigger and heavier magnetic components, higher power losses and lack of full power regeneration.

This webinar focuses on:

  • Today’s challenges converting high voltage to SELV
  • Using soft-switching topology at frequencies >1.4MHz to downsize the PDN
  • Enhancing efficiency and improve overall performance
  • Supporting high-power regenerative loads that transfer power back to the battery with symmetrical bidirectional power conversion
