Vicor Corporation is seeking a business minded individual to join its sales department as a Customer Relationship Specialist. We are seeking driven and determined individuals to strengthen and develop our customer and client relations. Vicor Corporation designs, manufactures and markets innovative, high performance modular power components, from bricks to semiconductor-centric solutions for the enterprise and high performance computing, telecommunications and network infrastructure, industrial equipment and automation, vehicles and transportation and aerospace and defense electronics sectors.

The Customer Relationship Specialist is expected to report to the office daily. They must engage with key customers by building and preserving relationships. The ideal candidate will be able to provide excellent customer service and effectively resolve customer issues in accurate and timely manner, coordinate calls, meetings and communications between management and customers. The position requires the candidate to be strategic and analytical when finding solutions to problems to ensure maximum client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

To be successful as a Customer Relationship Specialist you should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with sales and accounts managers to ensure that Vicor preserves relationships with clients.

  • Responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate information. 
  • Responsible for entering, processing, and maintaining customer orders from quoting to shipment. 
  • Effectively communicate quote information to the appropriate sales channel. 
  • Responsible for updating systems to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute reports that provides details on orders, and its status.
  • Manage the following processes- order management, RMAs, credits, and shipments.
  • Maintain and demonstrate proficiency in all sales department production systems.
  • Coordinate efforts amongst the following departments- sales, finance, marketing, planning and shipping.
  • Create and manage the corrective action process within the sales department.
  • Resolve all customer invoicing and credit issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum Associates Degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in business management, communications, marketing, business administration or closely related field required.
  • Initiative, problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities.
  • Exceptional Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships in a collaborative team environment within and across functional organizations.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Great attitude with desire to be a key player on a strong team and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with ecommerce order processing and live-chat.
  • CRM and PeopleSoft knowledge is a plus.
