Chris Swartz, Senior Principal Engineer at Vicor Corporation will present “Circuit Simulation Primer for the Power Electronics Engineer” at the IEEE PELS Symposium in Long Island.

On November 3rd Chris Swartz, Senior Principal Engineer/Manager of Advanced Systems Design Engineering at Vicor, will offer an introduction to SPICE-based and time-domain power electronics circuit simulation at the IEEE Power Seminar, Long Island, N.Y.

The presentation, Circuit Simulation Primer for the Power Electronics Engineer, highlights some of the challenges inherent to the complicated process of first-pass design success in power electronics hardware and firmware. The presentation provides insight into the advantages of various simulators via many practical examples and methods for developing a simulation strategy to achieve efficient circuit simulation.

Chris Swartz has over 35 years of experience in the area of power electronics, including analog and digital circuit design, EMI, thermal analysis and circuit simulation, which includes web-based power-system simulation, thermal simulation and model creation.
