Powering AI Processors using a 48V Factorized Power Architecture™
Using a 48V Factorized Power Architecture™ to overcome traditional multiphase limitations and drastically cut I²R thermal losses for high-demand loads
The Vicor NBM2317 is a non-isolated, fixed ratio, DC-DC converter. Employing a unique switching topology and packaging, this bidirectional converter bridges 12V to 48V and can deliver a maximum continuous output power of 800 watts at 97.9 percent peak efficiency. It delivers voltage essentially free of noise without any need for external filters or bulk capacitors. It’s packaged in a surface-mount converter-housed-in-package, or SM-ChiP, which provides low thermal impedance to both the top and bottom of the package providing easy thermal management.
