Venue: Centro De Congressos De Estoril, Estoril, Portugal
Session: EPM-6b: EMC Techniques I

Input filter design and test strategy for dual unsynchronized Sine Amplitude Converters in space power systems

Presented by Ken Coffman, Lead Applications Engineer, Vicor

Ken will cover the robust input filtering required in aerospace and LEO/MEO satellite applications and how Vicor’s radiation-tolerant Sine Amplitude Converter (SAC) Bus Converter Modules (BCM) operate at switching frequencies near 1.5 MHz with unsynchronized, internally paralleled topologies that produce beat-frequency intermodulation and complex low-frequency envelope modulation.
